Josiah joined the SolomonWood team in 2017. He is a Covenant College graduate—where he majored in business and played for the men’s soccer team for four years.
Josiah has a fiduciary duty to his advisory clients. He is a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), that believes in comprehensive financial planning at all stages of a client’s financial life cycle. In his own words, Josiah defines comprehensive financial planning as:
“Integrating the relevant financial tools (investments, insurance, tax planning, etc.) in a client’s financial tool belt in order to help maximize their potential for meeting both short- and long-term financial goals.”
Josiah specializes in implementing this approach to financial planning across multiple generations. He often works with the following types of clients:
Adult children caring for their parents and navigating their roles in their parents’ finances—in the same state, other states, nursing homes, and their own home.
Recent inheritors trying to navigate the complexity of the different assets they inherit.
In his free time, Josiah enjoys spending time with his wife, Caraline, and their three daughters. Together they love gardening at their home on Lookout Mountain, playing with their two dogs, and watching UT football.
